Code of Ethics

As a member of the Society of Financial Services Professionals, Frank Lojewski adheres to the "Society's Code of Professional Responsiblity,"  a summary of which follows.

SOCIETY OF FINANCIAL SERVICE PROFESSIONALS

 

Canon 1 FAIRNESS“Golden Rule”

       R1.1  No concealment or misrepresentation of material facts

       R1.2  Respect the rights of others

       R1.3  Disclose material information including potential conflicts of interest

       R1.4  Respect relationships with companies represented

       R1.5  Recommend only what is appropriate for the client

       R1.6  Maintain professional independence

 

Canon 2 COMPETENCE – Continually improving knowledge

       R2.1  Maintain knowledge, participate in continuing education

       R2.2  Refrain from giving advice beyond one’s expertise

 

Canon 3 CONFIDENTIALITY – Protect information

       R3.1  Safeguard client information

       R3.2  Safeguard company/employer information

       R3.3  Ensure that agents/employees also protect information

 

Canon 4 INTEGRITY – Always place client’s interest above one’s own

            R4.1  Avoid harm to others

       R4.2  Maintain honorable relationships with others

       R4.3  Adhere to spirit and letter of laws and regulations

       R4.4  Be truthful and candid in all communications

       R4.5  Avoid using Society designations in misleading manner

 

Canon 5 DILIGENCE – Prompt and thorough

       R5.1  Act promptly with competence and consistency

       R5.2  Make recommendations only after sufficient evaluation

       R5.3  Properly supervise subordinates

 

Canon 6 PROFESSIONALISM  - Help raise professional standards

       R6.1  Know and abide by the laws and regulations

       R6.2  Support development and enforcement of laws, regulations and codes of ethics

       R6.3  Respect other professionals

       R6.4  Cooperate with authorities in investigations

 

Canon 7 SELF-REGULATION  - Uphold and facilitate enforcement of the Code

       R7.1  Know and abide by the rules of this Code

       R7.2  Do not sponsor a candidate who violates this Code

       R7.3  Do not condone acts by other members that violate this Code

       R7.4  Notify Society if you are in violation

       R7.5  Notify Society of any revocation or suspension of license

       R7.6  Report information concerning an alleged violation to the Society

       R7.7  Report to Society any unauthorized use of approved Society designation
